Welcome to Columbus Violin!
My name is Kari Spicer. I am a certified Suzuki Violin Teacher with 10 years experience of teaching and having my own studio. I am an active member of the Suzuki Association of the Americas (SAA) and I continue my education each year with world renowned Suzuki Pedagogues at Suzuki Institutes that are held around the world. It is my strong recommendation that you plan on attending one of these Institutes each summer in order for you to get the full Suzuki experience.
There are many benefits to learning a musical instrument.
It doesn't matter if you become the best or what you end up doing with your musical career - as long as you have fun doing it!
Dr. Suzuki's philosophy is that "EVERY CHILD CAN!"
Parent involvement is vital in making this happen.
To learn more about Dr. Suzuki's approach, you can watch or read Nurtured By Love.
The "practice parent" (the parent that practices with the child at home each day) must be present at every lesson. This may be adjusted based on individual needs.
I'm excited to teach you or your child music lessons!
My students have won many competitions and festivals. This picture is of me and one of my students after she placed in the top 10 at the American String Teachers Association festival in Logan, Utah.

I teach in the upstairs of the Columbus Music Building. Each month you will have 2-5 private lessons and 2-3 group lessons (depending on the number of weeks in the month and holidays). Please note that you are paying for the PROGRAM, not individual lessons.
I give my students many opportunities to give recitals and perform in the community.
When you register for lessons, email me your name, number and when the best time is to get ahold of you. I will contact you shortly and we can set up a time for your lesson!
Feel free to contact me (kps.suzukiviolin@gmail.com) with any questions you may have.
Can't wait to hear from you!
